Challenge and Context

Idea Química, a company with 25 years of history, is a reference in the development of innovative solutions for the Home & Personal Care segment throughout Latin America. Recognized for the quality of its products and the partnerships built with suppliers and clients, Idea sought our team to develop a digital presence and consistent visual identity that would reinforce brand memorability among its customers.

The objective: Develop a modern and functional website that improved communication with customers, provided autonomy in content management, and allowed for international presentation with multi-language support, all aligned with a cohesive visual identity.

Our Approach

After deeply understanding the client’s needs, we developed a complete and consistent communication solution using cutting-edge technologies for the time (2016). The project was completed in just 6 weeks, from briefing to launch.

Technical Solution and Design

We created an intuitive information architecture that provided more direct and clear communication. We restructured how products were presented, developing a new taxonomy that simplified the catalog, despite the complexity of the products. For development, we used Drupal CMS with various functionalities that were in embryonic phase for the time, often contributing modules and solutions to the community:

  • Mobile First Design and responsive for all screen sizes, when this concept was still in its early stages
  • Optimized Performance through advanced modular coding and cache techniques
  • Complete Multi-language Support (Portuguese, English, and Spanish)
  • Integrated SEO for better search positioning
  • Integrated Forms with proprietary CRM tool
  • UI Componentization following the DRY concept (Don’t Repeat Yourself), resulting in clean and high-performance CSS code

Visual and Technical Innovation

One of the main challenges was to create visual harmony using eight different colors to represent the various product lines, ensuring that each one was memorable and easily identifiable by customers. We managed to develop a colorful design that was simultaneously clean and professional, reinforcing the brand’s visual identity.

In addition to implementing new functionalities for the time, we implemented some visual innovations in the site interface, such as:

  • Background Videos with optimized loading, without compromising performance even on slower mobile connections
  • Hardware Acceleration for CSS animations, ensuring a fluid experience on all devices
  • Color Harmonization representing different product lines while maintaining visual cohesion

Complete Visual Identity

To enhance brand memorability, we developed a complete and coherent corporate visual identity:

  • Stationery elements (letters, business cards)
  • Professional email signatures
  • Customized office materials (notebooks, folders)
  • Promotional material (paper bags, pencils for merchandising)

This complete package ensured consistent communication across all customer and partner touchpoints, reinforcing brand recognition in every interaction.

The project was an absolute success in consolidating brand memory, with the website and visual identity remaining current and functional almost a decade after launch. Some highlights:
